Wincanton Records Management (WRM) has announced a new contract win with SCC. As Europe’s largest independent IT services business, SCC has 40 years’ experience in providing private and public sector customers with IT infrastructure services. WRM is providing SCC a full, bespoke, off-site data protection solution across the country.

WRM’s specialist services will include the supply of data tapes and other IT Products, as well as provision of a daily dedicated collection and delivery service applying state of the art technology and robust security processes for the storage and management of SCC’s data tapes.

SCC will also be utilising WRM’s specialist ‘remote hands’ service. This service provides a qualified and experienced WRM operative who will have access to SCC’s Tier 3+ data centres to conduct tape exchanges from the vast array of tape drives. WRM will then store the exchanged tapes at their dedicated, compliant and secure vault facilities throughout the UK.

Moving forward, WRM will also build a bespoke facility for SCC, designed to meet their specific data protection requirements now and into the future.
