David Chadwick explains how Autodesk's latest acquisition, Constructware,

Within the last month or so Autodesk completed the acquisition of
Constructware, a privately owned American company that provides
on-demand communication and collaboration solutions for the construction
industry. Since Autodesk already has its own online collaboration
solution, I thought it would be prudent to see where the new Autodesk
company fitted in.

Andrew Buckley, of Sage, supplier of accounting tools for the construction
industry, explains how contractors should respond to the Government’s

If you want to talk about accounting and computing in the same breath
then one of the first companies that must spring to mind is Sage
- who seem to have been around forever. What I knew little about,
however, is their specialisation in particular markets - in our
case, construction (where they have upwards of 60,000 contractors
as customers).
